The Not-So 7 Year Itch!

No 7 year itch here, Baby!!! Still going just as strong as we were 7 years ago... hard to believe it's been that long! I want to thank this man that changed my life. This man that, literally, came in a swept me off of my feet. I went on spring break a wild and crazy party girl, came back IN LOVE. Such a special bond that we share. I love this man with every inch of my being. I do.

Backtracking...

Here are some pics from Preston's Fall Ball. He played for the Astros this time around :) Ray was the coach, and it was a great season. All the kids learned so much and had a great time.

Lila Anne and Preston went to Chick-Fil-A for their Super Hero night... only Mommy took them on the wrong day... so we had Super Hero night twice in our house! Super FUN!! Here they are in the costumes... how cute is LA- that shirt is Preston's jammie shirt!!!

Watching the Hokies with Daddy..... A Saturday tradition in the fall :)

Whoops... Halloween....

Whoops.. I forgot to put up our halloween pictures.... I guess with the Swine Flu that we all had, I forgot :) See how Preston had to wear something that covered his face? That was so he didn't infect anyone!! He put that costume together right before we let... that's my crafty boy!!! LA was a VT cheerleader... b/c she would have NOTHING to do with a real costume, and she already has like 5 VT outfits hanging in her closet!! We actually did buy her a long sleeve one last time we were in the 'Burg, but turned out, she didn't need it- it was nearly 80 degrees that night!!! I decided that I wanted to dress up too, so I went into LA's dress up box and came out as a "butterfly princess!"... at least someone wears the dress up clothes... Ray went as Bud Foster, defensive coordinator for VT.

40 Years :)

Wow!! Last week, my parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary!! Awesome. I have wanted to throw them this surprise party now for like 2 years! So, my sister and I finally did it! It was a success... minus the fact that we really couldn't find a great spot in the room to put the radio where you could actually hear it.... but that didn't stop us though, we still found a space to dance to have fun :) I love my parents dearly and appreciate them soo much, so I hope they truly enjoyed themselves. Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad :) We love you!!!!

Smarty Pants

My Lila Anne.... how we love her... most of the time :) haha! She is becoming such a big girl now- I thought I would update you with what is going on in her world.....
She is STARTING to make friends with the potty. Before when we would ask if she wanted to use the potty, or if she was ever going to use the potty, she would reply, "no way!" Have no idea where she learned that phrase...... Now, she tells me she has to go, but usually won't do anything up there, just get a bunch of TP so that she can "fush" it. But she has been a few times on it though, but for the most part, we are not pushing this issue :)
She can count to 20! Knows her ABC's, all her colors and most all her shapes, including a trapezoid!!! It's the funniest thing to hear your 2 year old say "trapezoid" :) She LOVES to sing! Right now her billboard top hit is Miss Mary Mack!!! It's her fave! She still loves Twinkle, Twinkle, and Baa Baa Black Sheep, but for now, she all about this Miss Mary Mack.... whom she just refers to as "Mack"... you know, their pretty tight!

She can officially undress herself. I came into my room the other day where she was watching TV, only to find her pants on the floor because "I don't like those"... another favorite saying of hers!! Luckily she needs needs help with her shirt!
She is very eagerly awaiting Christmas! LOVES it! Can't wait. How does she know about Christmas, you might ask? For those of you that don't know my kids... they watch Christams movies ALL YEAR!!! She must say to me at least once a day "Christmas Elmo?" OMG!!!! She is going to be a lot of fun this year, that's for sure :)
And finally my lil' peanut FINALLY put on some weight! We have been bulking her up, and making her lay off those stadium drills a bit :) She weighed in 3 weeks ago at a whopping 27 lbs!!! Yay!!! She gained about 5 lbs. since her bday back in August! You go girl!

Pulling around her duck toy!

Holy Swine Flu, Batman!!

Yikes! We have the Swine Flu in our house!!! Poor Preston :( He is the only one so far (and let's hope it stays that way!) Here is the story:
As Ray and I were JUST heading home from Blacksburg (where we were to witness a very sad game), Mom calls and says that Preston had a fever of 105.9! She said the bus driver told her he had fallen asleep on the bus and that he wasn't well. You can say that again. My mom said she was having a hard time keeping him awake and that he just wanted to sleeep. She gave him Tylenol, put him in shorts, and off to the doctor they went. His temp had gone down a bit, so that was good, but he still was diagnosed with the flu and some respirtory problems. He had a a lot of wheezing, and such, so they did a few breathing treatments on him (which he said helped) and they gave my 4 perscriptions and an inhaler! That's a lot! Poor thhing had a bit of fluid in his ear as well. He is taking Tamiflu (which I have heard is hard to get, so we feel blessed!) and he is feeling MUCH better these days!
What I didn't mention is that I was very sick the entire time we were in VT! Not fun!!! And during the game, I believe I was having another cyst (or something that painful!) We left in a hurry at the end and had to walk a mile back to the car. It was not a fun walk. I was trying to keep from not throwing up (the pain was that bad), and at one point I screamed out loud and clutched onto Ray! I don't know what that was all about. It stopped when we returned to the room that night. Could be a # of things, I guess... I was just glad it was over!!!
I saw my doctor last night. I have Broncittius. Does the fun ever stop?? I feel pretty well though! I have the Z pack- a 5 day antibiotic. So should feel great (hopefully) this weekend :)
