New Business

Hello All!

Most of you know that it is my DREAM to own my own Yoga Studio... well, can't do that yet, but I am starting my own "Yoga Party" business ;) That's right, Lila Pie Yoga... coming to Hampton Roads!! I named it after my sweet little Lila Pie! I need to put all these certifications I have to better use! Yoga Parties are all the rage now... a great alternative to the typical bridal shower, bachelorette party, ladies night out, etc. So, I am looking forward to my new adventure! A friend is helping me out as well, offering massages to complete the party package. Should do well... HOPEFULLY:) I will keep you all updated and check the site soon: http://www.lilapieyoga.com/ It will be up and running here shortly. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!

Live and Learn....

So, I am usually a sunscreen freak! I always use it on my myself, but on my first beach day I said "I'd like to get a little color" so I waited to put it on... like 3 hours! I am still reeling in pain. I can't really even manage to get a shirt on over it... yeah, it's a real show over here! So, if you are ever wanting to "get a little color" remember that the sun is more intense than you think! I'm a pretty sight, right? Oh, and don't worry, I always put SPF 60 on the kids! That's why they are the whitest kids on the beach!

First Beach Day of the Season

Here are a TON of pictures from our trip to VA Beach ;) It was Lila's first real one. I had to take a lot of pictures of my "bathing beauty" (watch out Miss Hawaiian Tropic! Haha) and my crazy, water loving, son! We had a blast. We brought along our friends Eleisha and Leo....
It was great that the boys could play with each other. We gave them some freedom since it wasn't too crowed and they were able to do their own thing, still in our sight. Lila Anne took a nice little snooze on the beach and Eleisha and I were able to get in some much needed fun "girl time." It was a GREAT day ;)

Gardening

So, we started to plant some flowers this weekend. I would put more pictures up, but it won't really look that great until summer, when everything finally blooms... I am SO impatient! So, when they bloom (and hopefully look pretty, I'll let you have a looksy :) Here's Preston and Daddy digging a hole. Preston was really excited to get his own shovel and gloves!

Hokie Nation

Here are our lil' Hokies all decked out in their gear! Can't believe it's been a year already since the tragedy at VT. We wore our Hokie colors today in remembrance... (well, Ray wears his Hokie colors EVERYDAY, but today was extra special ;))

Who's Who?

So, I actually have both of these in B&W hanging in frames in my bathroom. They look SO much alike. Grandad had no idea they were different babies. He kept telling me which one she looked better in... then I told him to take a look at her ears in both pictures!!!!

Two in the Tub

Preston & Lila Anne took their first bath together! Lila REALLY enjoyed it much better with him in there. She actually didn't cry and enjoyed herself for a whole 20 minutes!
"This is what you gotta do if you want to stay in longer..."
"No, not the shampoo..."
*If you click on this picture you can really see the difference in her eyes. The one on the left is 1/2 brown and 1/2 blue! From far away it looks like one eye is brown, and the other blue. Beautiful ;)

Mangos People!!

My Kids are both big fans of Mangos!
Here they are eating away ;)

ARRR... MATES!

Preston went to a birthday party last weekend and got his face painted by the clown that was there ;) He had a lot of fun playing pirate!

Ray's 31st Birthday

Well, it looks like there's an old man in our house now! 31!! Friday was Ray's birthday, so we celebrated by going to Paradocks. It's an East Coast style Bar & Grill. We sat outside on the deck. It was a beautiful evening and a lot of fun! And the best part was the Yuengling on draft for $1.50!! Gotta love Happy Hour :)

7 Months Old

Here are Lila Anne's 7 month pictures. Now, we found this month that she was way more into the paper than the camera, but we still managed to get some cute shots :)She is getting so big, but still on the small size for her age. At her 6 month appointment, she weighed in at only 13 lbs. 8 oz. But we are bulking her up now on formula and lots of solid foods, which she LOVES! We are moving along pretty fast with the foods (lucky second child!) She is eating a lot of finger foods like pasta, cut up soft veggies and fruits, and of course the puffs and wheels from Gerber. She doesn't even really want to be spoon fed anymore, she has been pushing it away lately, only really taking cereal from it, which is fine by me, because I have been making all her foods and now all I have to do is cut them up!

Muscles

Do I even need to say anything else???

The Girls

Here we are getting ready to go to dinner, like we do most Friday nights. This past Friday was Red Lobster, where we met another Lila (spelled Lyla) who was 3 months old!! Hopefully it won't become a popular name, but they said they stole the name from Friday Night Lights, which, we did not!!
