Biasi Family Fun Weekend Part Dos!

Out exploring again, we went to First Landing State Park, down near the oceanfront. We went hiking on a 3 mile trail, and it was a lot of fun. We even took Cali.... we are not sure if she is still alive or not..... she never gets exercise like that!! The kids had fun too.

Looks like we just sent him off into the woods...
Lila Anne was amazed by the trees there. Look at Preston in this picture!!!

This is pretty much what it looks like through the whole trail. Pretty cool looking.
Lila Anne taking a break on the bench.
Preston was all smiles :)
Cali was VERY thirsty and hot, but hung in there :)
"An old cub scout told me that if you knock 2 sticks together 3 times, it will keep the bears away..." There's a little bit of movie trivia for you....

We were walking through the bald cypress trail.
Preston wanted me to take a picture of this.
Next to his letter....
Sleepy girl from all that hiking!!
Good girl Cali, I am proud of you!!!

Golf

Like father, like son....

She's ready.... someone get the girl some clubs!!

Good times at the Playground :)

Preston got to take Lila Anne down the slide all by himself :)

Preston and Lila going down together :)
Lila having a good ol' time on the swings!!

Beach Days

We are so lucky to live only 20 mins. from the beach. We went to a new "locals only" beach last Saturday. We had a ball, though it's a lot of work to take 2 kids to the beach... we feel like a pack mule!!!!!
"Cancel all my appointments today, I need some 'me' time..."

On the beach.

Exploring Hampton Roads

So, lately we have been on a kick where we like to take the kids on Fridays and go off exploring all that our region has to offer. It really is a great little area to live in. We went last Friday down to Portsmouth and had lunch outside and then took the ferry over to Waterside, in downtown Norfolk. There is a lot to see and do there. They have a cool "museum like" place there called the Nauticus where they display lot's of Navy stuff and fish. We also went on the USS Wisconsin, an old battleship that you can tour... all for free!! Can't beat that :) We all had a wonderful day. Both of the kids love to be outside (wonder where they get that from??!) So everyone had a great day.

I found this old British phone booth... you know how I think I am British.... anyone care for a spot a tea???
Daddy and Preston in Portsmouth.
Mommy and Preston mimicing the mermaid behind us....
The view from the ferry. We really do have a pretty little city. Life in the HR is starting to grow on us :)
Preston being silly inside Nauticus.
On the ferry again ;)
Lila trying to get the waterfall to chase her... she LOVES to be chased. You should have seen her, it was so funny!!
Lila Anne and Preston hittin' the racks!!!! This is where Ray spent several months sleeping while on deployment... I don't see what all the fuss is about.. the kids seemed to like it??!!
