Life...

I know, I know.. I never write anymore...!! It's hard to fit it all in :) Life for us has been good.. busy, but good. With Ray and I each teaching several days a week, the evenings are jammed packed and at night I just want to relax!! My photography business is picking up a bit more now and most nights I am tied to the computer editing images. I am certainly not complaining... I am in heaven when I am working! I can't believe I am so lucky to find what I love doing, and have it work out for me (so far!)
Preston has started another season of T-ball and Ray is his coach again... add that into our weeknight schedule as well... sheesh! Preston is really good at it and is learning to switch hit. Pretty impressive from a 5 year old. The coolest thing he is doing right now though is READING!! I am not talking about a few words here and there, I am talking ALL words. He is amazing with it, and I am so proud... kudos to Mrs. Walls, his Kindergarten teacher :)
Lila Anne is all potty trained up now :) And even sleeping in underwear. She has been out of daytime diapers for about a month now, and night-time for a few weeks :) Pretty cool!! She is a doll for the most part, but she has her "sassy pants" days as welll.... She is signed up for Preschool next year! Where does the time go? I signed her up at Oak Grove, where Preston went, but might have to move her to another school if they cancel their 2 day a week program (seemed like that might happen..) we'll see. She is ready though, and wants to ride a "school busses" (she won't) ... but I can bet you that she will scream the moment I drop her off at the door! Hahaha!!
And finally- only a few more days now until we are off to WDW! We cannot wait and the kids count down everyday now :) The anticipation is sooo much fun for them (and me!)

Exploring...

On these beautiful spring days, we love to be outside!!!! After being cooped up all winter, it is the BEST! We went for a walk in the neighborhood the other day... the kids love to "explore" and see what new cool stuff we can find. You HAVE to have rainboots (and a tutu over our pants) of course, for all the puddles we are bound to find after a spring rain!

Thought I would take some pics around the house  to note some of the changes we've made- they're are still more to come, but we are tackling some of the smaller ones first.

Couldn't get the kids out of the way- but these are the new coffee tables. I LOVE them. Each one has storage and the lids flip over to a table top! Perfect for us!!

My new FAVORITE thing is the wall O' pictures!! I love it! I finally found the perfect thing for that wall- and I finally got to put up some of my work in the house :) Best part of it all, is that I can change out the pics. whenever I want!

Finally a Warm Day!!!

It's been COLD here for weeks!! Today- 65 and sunny! Needless to say, we ventured out around the neighborhood and to the playground here :) Here are some super-cute shots of the kids. Isn't Preston just to die for?? Look how sweet he is to her. He held her hand for the whole walk :) Nothing like a brother-sister love. They really are such a great pair.

WE'RE GOING TO....

DISNEY WORLD!!

We are all so very excited :) I have wanted to take the kids here for what feels like forever, even though I realize Preston is only 5 years old, so I haven't waited THAT long, but still, I feel like a kid, with a countdown and all!!! We are staying at a fabulous resort condo that has 2 beds/2 baths and a full kitchen  with granite countertops, might I add....so we don't have to eat yucky WDW food all week!) Staying 7 nights/8 days.We will be visting all 4 parks as well as Aquatica. I haven't been there since I was like 7, so I can't wait :) We will be driving there, so I can wait for that, but we are doing it at night, and it will save a butt load of $$, so it'll be worth it!

Potty Time....

Such a big girl we have... she is STARTING to use the potty!!! YAY!! She has been doing really well with pooping on the potty- not sure she even knows about peepee quite yet! She has tinkled on there a few times, and she is just amazed!! She loves to have a party afterward where everyone celebrates her success and she gets 2 M&M's :) We haven't pushed her in the least. She just is going about this in her own way, her own time. I am very proud of her :)

Stars Wars...

These are some of my new favorites of Preston, because they sum him up.... STAR WARS!! This is all this kid can think about! He was acting out scenes from the movies yesterday, so I grabbed my cmaera. I love these pics., because of how the light is hitting the lens- it wasn't even lit up, and the camera caught it at such a cool angle, it looks like a true light saber. Preston LOVES them! Now I got "cool mom" points and "cool photographer" points from him :)
